Launched in 2003 based on a highly successful track record for 2002, Los Angeles Music Productions is founded by Leslie Waller and supported by an incredible team of  advisors.

Leslie Waller, Founder & Executive Director
With almost 150 events for artists to her credit, Leslie founded Los Angeles Music Productions in 2003 to serve the Los Angeles songwriting community with music seminars and events that educate and inspire. As a composer/songwriter herself, Leslie is familiar with the needs of independent artists. Music credits include over 50 radio commercials, numerous tracks for popular sound libraries, industrial CDs, and film scores. With over two decades of music industry experience, Leslie has cultivated many key business contacts in the music industry from musical instrument manufacturers, to music media, to record labels, to Grammy-nominated producers and engineers. A classically-trained pianist from age six, Leslie is also a certified teacher witha 4.0 average in Marketing Communications from U.C. Irvine. As Executive Director of L*A*M*P, Leslie combines her love of continuing education, music, and marketing to create powerful programs to help artists succeed in their careers. Kim Erin Spratt, Vice President, Programs
Recording artist and marketing guru Kim Erin Spratt joins L*A*M*P with a well-seasoned background in the music industry as a singer, songwriter and music business executive. As the Director of Business Development for one of the largest lifestyle and media marketing firms in North America, Kim spearheaded media sales to major clubs in L.A. and nationwide. As Director of Client Services at the famed Record Plant recording studio and Wilshire Stages sound stage, Kim oversaw site management and acquired a rich background in negotiating contracts with top music industry professionals. As an accomplished artist and songwriter, Kim's music and vocals have garnered numerous accolades with her exciting new blend of pop/rock. Deirdre Weaver, Business Development
With a history of music experience from running the Speakeasy in NYC, traveling Europe and Japan with Suzanne Vega to live event production and web consulting, Deirdre came to LA to play music and write while consulting for Time Warner on their live web events. She was soon after recruited by NARAS to coordinate the production of the first GRAMMY webcast. Upon returning from the GRAMMYs, Deirdre landed a much loved position managing and booking the Sonoma Blue café and music venue that showcased many artists currently leading the independent music scene in LA. Deirdre is a musician, a singer-songwriter, and an entrepreneur. With a passion for music and business, she created SUMADEK as a way to Help Artists Sell More CDs! Deirdre brings her experience from music and business continually building relationships that foster community and growth in the Independent music world.

Chris O'Donnell, Marketing and Promotions
Chris is an expert at implementing street savvy marketing campaigns, radio and retail promotions, generating album sales, while maintaining solid relationships with retailers and consumers. Chris has implemented highly successful marketing and promotional campaigns for indie and major record labels, including Electric Monkey Records and Capitol Records. He has extensive experience in coordinating high-profile events, showcases, and album release parties. He has significant contacts with radio and record retailers across the U.S. and Europe. Jimi Yamagishi, Executive Director, SongNet
With over a quarter century in the industry, Jimi is also the current head of the SongNet , a Pasadena, CA based songwriter's org. As a writer and producer, much of his work can be found all over the world. He's a guest columnist in several publications and is known to network with everything and anyone connected to songwriting. An accomplished guitarist, Jimi builds most of his own instruments, and previously owned one of the more highly respected guitar shops in Hollywood. "A smile and a handshake are your most important assets in any business." When you meet him, you'll know why.

Tess Taylor, President of NARIP and LAMN
Tess Taylor is the founder and president of the Los Angeles Music Network (LAMN), established in 1988, and the National Association of Record Industry Professionals (NARIP), established in 1998. Noted author, broadcaster, editor, instructor and lecturer Tess Taylor has helped connect countless people to music industry jobs through her lectures at the Harvard Business School, New York University, Caltech/ MIT, UCLA, Berklee College of Music and many other institutions nationwide.

Bernard Baur, Review Editor, A&R Columnist & Features - Music Connection

With over twenty years in the music business, Bernard Baur has worn many hats. He's worked with Bill Graham Productions, super-stars and emerging artists. For many hard working local acts, he's been the connection between the streets and the suites. An artist crusader and award-winning journalist, Bernard is currently the Review Editor and Feature Writer for Music Connection.
